Madagascar, isolated in the Indian Ocean, is one of the world’s most distinctive photographic destinations. Around 90% of its wildlife is found nowhere else, from lemurs and chameleons to towering baobab trees, making it a place where every image captures something truly unique. The photographs here highlight some of the island’s most remarkable locations: the rainforests of Andasibe, home to the haunting calls of the indri and the beautifully colored Parson's Chameleon; the sculpted Red Tsingy formations, shaped by erosion; the dry forests of Kirindy, where fossas, sifakas, and nocturnal species thrive; and the ancient baobabs that dominate the landscape. They also feature the Anja Reserve, populated by ring-tailed lemurs that live among granite outcrops; the lush forests and waterfalls of Ranomafana; and the dramatic canyons and savanna of Isalo National Park. Together, these places showcase Madagascar’s extraordinary blend of landscapes and endemic species.
